RENO, Nev. (KOLO)-- The city of Reno, Vaughn Middle School and Communities in School cleaned up the southeast Reno area that is part of Ward 3 Saturday.
Volunteers gathered at the Vaughn Middle School parking lot at 1200 Bresson Ave. to accept items to be thrown away. Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful and Kiwanis Bikes also participated.
They took items such as trash, yard waste and debris, scrap metal, appliances and bikes.
“It’s this sort of community effort that helps us improve our overall quality of life and relationships in our Reno neighborhoods,” Ward 3 Reno City Council member Oscar Delgado said in a statement released by the city. “We are appreciative of the support and couldn’t do it without our partners and our many dedicated volunteers.”
