SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) - The Sparks Fire Department responded to a gas explosion at a west Sparks bakery just before 4 p.m. on Sunday.

A Sparks Police Department officer who was going to the bakery said there was a small explosion in the kitchen.
There were no flames visible as crews arrived at La Esperanza Bakery at Greenbrae Drive near El Rancho Drive, but there was significant structural damage.
Two employees suffered cuts on their faces and were treated on scene by REMSA.
The fire is under investigation and the business has been closed.
The Sparks Fire Department reported three fire engines and one ladder truck responded.
