SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) - The Sparks Police Department is looking for three men accused of trying to cash fraudulent checks at the Western Village Casino.

Police say the men walked in to the casino on October 2, 2017 and approached the casino cashier.

Two of the men approached separate tellers while the third man waited in line. Both men presented payroll checks from the same local business. The teller quickly realized that the checks were fraudulent and refused to cash them.

One of the suspects ran from the casino leaving the check and a fraudulent ID card behind. The other man walked away taking his check and ID, and the third man walked out without attempting to cash his check. All three got away before casino security could apprehend them.

The suspects are described as a white male adult wearing a black Zildjan t-shirt, a black male adult wearing a black t-shirt, and a Hispanic male adult wearing an orange t-shirt.

Anyone who recognizes the men is asked to call the Sparks Police Department at 775-353-2231.
