RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Did you know The Salvation Army assists approximately 30 million Americans annually, and in Washoe County alone, the organization may be found giving back to approximately 25,000 community members in need by way of food assistance, adult rehabilitation services and more?

Atlantis Casino Resort Spa and News Talk 780 KOH recognize the important role The Salvation Army plays in our community, and annually have partnered to help give back by soliciting the community to donate frozen turkeys and/or monetarily. All donations will assist northern Nevadan families in need with food for the holidays.

The annual Turkey Drop will be held in the West End Parking Lot of Atlantis on Thursday, December 7 from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Since its inception in 1995, Atlantis and KOH have helped to donate over 12,000 turkeys for Washoe County families in addition to monetary donations for holiday meals.

Donors can drive through the West End Parking Lot alongside S. Virginia Street and volunteers will offload their donations of frozen turkeys or monetary donations.
