SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) Thursday evening update:
The Sparks Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect in the robbery of a Home Depot.
The Reno Police Department booked Theodore B. Meadows, 26, on charges of obstructing and resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance. Meadows was also booked on suspicion of robbery of an elderly person.
Sparks police said a Reno person flagged down a Reno patrol officer sand said the suspects in the Home Depot robbery were in a nearby restaurant. Sparks police said a man and a woman stole items from the Home Depot at 4655 Galleria Parkway on Wednesday night and the man shoved a 70-year-old Home Depot employee to the ground to escape.
Reno police found both suspects and said the woman provided a statement on what happened at Home Depot. It was not immediately clear what charges she might face.
Sparks Police are searching for two people who robbed a Home Depot and attacked an elderly employee Wednesday evening.
Police say a man and a woman entered the Home Depot on Galleria Parkway around 7:30PM September 13, 2017. The man grabbed several items from the power tool aisle, and hid them under his clothing. As the couple tried to leave the store, they were confronted by a 70-year-old female employee. Police say the man forcefully pushed her to the ground.
The victim sustained a head injury after hitting it on the concrete floor. She also hurt her arm.
The couple was seen running from the store and driving off in a white Chrysler 300 with damage to the left front bumper and quarter panel.
The female in the surveillance photos appears to have dyed red hair and a scar that seemed to be a burn mark to her face, according to witnesses.
