West was released Tuesday, January 23, 2018.

West was arrested in April 2016 when federal agents raided Jones West Ford and other locations looking for evidence of an opioid distribution ring. West and several other employees of the dealership were accused of selling pills out of West's car.

As part of a plea deal, West admitted guilt to the one charge and agreed to testify against Dr. Robert Rand, who received an 8-year sentence for involuntary manslaughter and drug charges.

West received credit for 20 months of time served in jail and good behavior.

Now that West is out of jail, he will be sent directly to in-patient rehab and will also be on 16 months of house confinement.
