Police name man they want to talk to about Traner Pool theft

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The Reno Police Department says it has identified a man it wants to talk to about the theft and vandalism at Traner Pool in northeast Reno, in which as much as $350,000 in property was stolen or damaged.
They are asking for the public’s help in finding Gonzolo Escobar, Police believe Escobar is still in the Reno area.

Police started getting tips on the case through Secret Witness on Thursday after releasing photographs of possible suspects and a vehicle. Police said they talked to the driver of the vehicle and do not believe he is involved in the theft. Police said the driver is cooperating.

Someone broke into the pool on March 16, 2017, and stole electrical and plumbing equipment and destroyed the pool boiler. Initial estimates were that fixing the problem would cost $240,000 to $250,000 and the pool may not open this season.
