RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - A Reno man appeared on ABC's "The Toy Box" Sunday night to try and get a deal with Mattel on his creation called Botallions.
THE TOY BOX - "Episode 203" - A portable set of carnival games, a customizable plush toy, an adjustable sprinkler system and more compete for a chance to win big, on an all-new episode of ABC's "The Toy Box," airing on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 15 (7:00-8:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network. (ABC/Richard Cartwright) ERIC STONESTREET, COLLIN MENNINGER (BOTALLIONS)
Collin Meninger created the game which involves players controlling a small force of robots to try and destroy the opposing team's objectives.
"The Toy Box" gives inventors the opportunity to sign with toy industry giant Mattel.
"My dad actually told me about it. He asked me if I had seen this advertisement for the Toy Box and I hadn't," says Menninger.
"He told me to apply and less than a week later they were calling me asking for more information and it just kept going from there."
Meninger's creation did not make it past the panel of toy testers. He's launched a kickstarter campaign with a goal of raising $1,000 by November 15, 2017.
