Reno-Tahoe International Airport opens first lounge

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Passengers traveling through Reno-Tahoe International Airport have a new way to pass time.

The airport opens "Escape Lounge" Monday, December 18. The common-use facility is open to the public for a cost of $45 and a $5 discount if you book days in advance. It is free for American Express Platinum Card holders.

The lounge features complimentary food and bar with locally-sourced wines and beers. There is also high-speed internet and plenty of charging stations. The lounge also features departure screens where customers can check the status of their flights.

Monday's grand opening will include special donations to the Northern Nevada Food Bank.
