Two robbery suspects in custody, lockdowns lifted

SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) - Code yellow lockdowns have been lifted at Reed High School, Lena Juniper, and Katherine Dunn Elementary Schools following police activity in the area.

KOLO 8 News Now's Ed Pearce is on scene. He says this car is connected to the search for two armed robbery suspects.

The Sparks Police Department is trying to locate two armed people who robbed a home. Two others are in custody.

According to Ken Gallop with Sparks Police, a call came in early Thursday afternoon about an armed robbery in the 6000 block of Quintessa Drive. The homeowner walked in on four men inside his home. They pulled a gun and ran out.

Officers received a vehicle description and located the suspect vehicle on Sparks Boulevard. Police attempted to pull the driver over and a short chase followed.

The occupants abandoned the car on Sparks Boulevard near Baring Boulevard. Officers established a perimeter and located two suspects who are now in custody. They are still searching for two others.
