RENO, Nev. (KOLO) -- The Reno doctor at the center of the alleged opioid "pill mill" drug distribution case will be back in court on Thursday after failing to enter a plea Monday.
Dr. Robert Rand did not enter a plea during his Monday court appearance, his first court appearance in Reno.
May 19, 2016, Rand is expected to enter a plea. At that time his attorney, John Arrascada, will ask that Rand be released on bail.
Rand previously made appearances in federal court in San Francisco, after his April 29 arrest at the San Francisco International Airport.
During a May 9 court appearance, a federal magistrate ordered Rand transferred back to Nevada by the U.S. Marshals Office.
