Pyramid Way reopens at E Street after pedestrian accident

SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO)-- 4:20 p.m. update:
A pedestrian had non-life threatening injuries Saturday after being hit while crossing Pyramid Way in a crosswalk, the Sparks Police Department reported.

The crash happened at 12:17 p.m. at Pyramid Way and E Street. The pickup truck driver was going south on Pyramid Way and did not see the man crossing the street and hit him with the front of his truck, knocking him several feet, police said. There was no indication the driver was intoxicated or speeding, police said. Witnesses provided corroborating statements.

The driver was cited for a right-of-way violation, police said.

One person was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. The pedestrian's condition was not available.
