RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Reno Police are asking for the public’s help with a death investigation.
Officers received a call to do a welfare check on 48-year-old John Kent Lovely, a Reno resident who had moved here from Florida, around 2 p.m. January 1, 2018 in the 3900 block of Clear Acre Lane.
Police say Lovely had not contacted his relatives as planned. Officers found Lovely dead in his apartment. Police are referring to the death as a homicide, but have not released a cause of death.
The Reno Police Department Robbery Homicide Unit has launched an investigation.
Police are asking anyone with information or anyone who may have been in the area during the holiday weekend to contact the Reno Police Detective Division or Secret Witness at 775-322-4900.
Secret Witness is offering a reward in the amount of $2,500 for information leading to an arrest and prosecution in this case.
