RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Reno Police are investigating an incident at the drive-thru at a south Reno McDonald's.

Police say shortly before 2PM August 11, 2017, a driver in the drive-thru at the restaurant at South Virginia and Kietzke rear-ended another driver. Both drivers got out of their cars, and the woman who rear-ended the other slashed the driver of the front car, then threw the knife in the parking lot and ran off, only to be quickly captured behind the Olive Garden restaurant that shares the parking lot.

The victim is being treated for what police say are non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are checking the mental stability of the suspect, and it's not clear what any charges might be.

The drive-thru is briefly closed during the investigation.
