Police said the pedestrian was in all black when the driver of a GMC Yukon hit him about 6:15 p.m. November 23, 2017. Police believe the pedestrian may have been drinking.

The Yukon driver said he was going the speed limit when the pedestrian suddenly appeared in the road. The impact threw the pedestrian a short distance, police said.

The crash closed Sparks Boulevard at Los Altos Parkway for about two hours.
