The Reno Police Department said the driver will be cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian.

Police say the driver was heading east on First Street as the pedestrian had just stepped into the crosswalk on West Street at 7:05 p.m. October 4, 2017 when the driver hit the pedestrian. The driver told police she saw other pedestrians but not the one she hit.

The driver had cuts on his head and was taken to Renown Regional Medical Center. It wasn’t immediately clear if he had other injuries.

Police said the driver was going slowly at the time of impact.
