SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (KOLO)-- A man jaywalking toward Heavenly Village was struck by a car just before 9 a.m. Wednesday, South Lake Tahoe Fire & Rescue reported.

The man sustained a minor cut to his head and was taken to a hospital for X-rays, Battalion Chief Tim Spencer said.

The driver was going the speed limit and no alcohol or other drugs were involved, Spencer said.

The fire department asked drivers to watch out for pedestrians in that area.
