North Valleys HS JROTC helped middle school students buy presents

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) -- For the second year, the North Valleys High School (NVHS) Air Force JROTC hosted their service project called Panther Express.

The project is an effort to partner with their nearby middle schools and identify students who are economically disadvantaged, and may not be able to afford holiday presents.

The NVHS JROTC cadet raised money through fundraising, which provided funds to the middle school students to purchase gifts for their siblings.

On December 15, 2017, the cadets traveled by bus to the middle schools, pick up the students, and took them to the Wal-Mart in Lemmon Valley to do their shopping. From there, they went back to their JROTC room to wrap the presents and have a pizza party!
