RENO, Nev. (KOLO) There isn't as much snow on the ground at this time as there was in 2016, but that's not stopping people from making the most of it.
"It's not really snow here, but it's still really fun," Lorelei Duart says. She and her family are visiting the Reno area from Southern California.
Mountain Top Sports says it is seeing significantly fewer customers this year compared to 2016.
"We're not as busy. There's not as much snow, but business is still pretty good," Logan Anderson, a ski technician, says.
The business says last year it had about 300 customers per day during this time, but now that's been cut to 150.
"Other than that people have been coming in snowboarding, sledding, skiing," Kennan Brown, snowboard technician, says.
"Snow is snow," Brown says. "People still have been coming up."
