RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - A newly renovated Boys and Girls Club in central Reno opens Tuesday, November, 14, 2017.
The new facility is on Bresson Avenue. The renovations for this club include a new teen center, patio, restrooms, classrooms, and playground. The club will serve kids and teens from Libby Booth, Echo Loder, and Vaughn Middle School.
The club is open to kids and teens ages 8 to 16 years old. Membership to the club costs $20 a year. However, additional costs do apply for the before- and after-school programs. The Boys and Girls Club states on its website that no one will be denied an opportunity to participate in the club due to lack of funds. They encourage people who are having financial difficulties to ask if they qualify for scholarships or financial aid.
The grand opening will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. and will go until noon.
