Thirteen companies participated in the design and construction for the playhouse. The Ronald McDonald House provides housing for families of sick children undergoing treatment.
The group took action after learning the old one could not be used after last winter.
"We heard about the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House – many of them facing a parent's worst nightmare,” Travis Coombs, a CLC member who led the playhouse effort, said in a statement. “We wanted to help and this is what they said they needed for their families. We're just glad we could make it a reality."
The CLC designed and constructed the 10 x 10 playhouse complete with a front door, four windows and a porch. Inside there is child-sized living room furniture and a play kitchen with a table and chairs.
