SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) - A new luxury apartment community is headed to Sparks.
Tuesday, City of Sparks officials gathered with members of the community and developers for a ceremonial groundbreaking on an apartment community called Lumina. Located in the Spanish Springs master planned community of Pioneer Meadows, northwest of the Wingfield Springs Raley's, it will be a 330-unit luxury apartment development that is projected to open during the summer of 2018.
"The property will have a dog park, it will have a pool, cabanas, spa, indoor outdoor gym, game room," says Dan Feldman with Sunroad Enterprises, which is developing the property.
Feldman says the development will help the community as it struggles with a housing shortage and more people move to the area.
Lumina will feature one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom units that will be priced between $1,330 and $1,895.
