Nevada's Caroline named MWC Player of the Week

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) Wolf Pack sophomore Jordan Caroline has been named the Mountain West Conference Player of the Week.

He led Nevada to a 2-0 record with wins over San Diego State and New Mexico, averaging 32 points, 12 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.

Caroline set a career-high with 45 points in the comeback win over the Lobos on Saturday. It's the most points ever scored by an opponent at The Pit, which opened 50 years ago.

It's the second time this season that Caroline has earned this honor.

He's averaging 14.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 steals per game this season.

Nevada (14-3, 3-1 MWC) heads to Wyoming (11-5, 1-2 MWC) on Saturday. It's a 3pm tipoff to be shown live on ESPN3.
