TWIN BRIDGES, Calif. (KOLO) - The California Highway Patrol says a couple involved in a motorcycle crash last week is from Fresno.
CHP says September 29, 2017, 70-year-old Christopher Deboer and his wife, Susan, both of Fresno, were riding their Harley Davidson on US-50 east of Twin Bridges, approaching Slippery Ford Road. Investigators still don't know why Mr. Deboer allowed the bike to drift from the center of the eastbound lane to the right, leaving the road. His motorcycle continued off the shoulder, hitting a guardrail; both riders were thrown off and over an embankment, down a hill.
CHP says good samaritans stopped to help until paramedics arrived; both were flown to Renown Regional Medical Center.
Christopher Deboer was pronounced dead of his injuries. Susan Deboer is being treated for major injuries.
