Westbound Interstate 80 open again at California state line

Westbound Interstate 80 is completely open again, the California Department of Transportation reported.

The road has been cleared of a mudslide and no escorts are needed.

Westbound Interstate 80 traffic is being held at the California state line due to a mudslide in the Farad area, the California Department of Transportation reports.

They have crews heading to the slide with equipment and they will evaluate the slide and estimate how long it will take to clear it.

Eastbound Interstate 80 is not affected, Caltrans said.
