RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Authorities say the hiker hospitalized early Monday morning after being rescued from incline Village appeared to have health issues.

North Lake Tahoe Fire and Washoe County Search and Rescue received a call around 1:30 a.m. March 20, 2017.

Bob Harmon with the Washoe County Sheriff's Office says the man and a woman were hiking near Sand Harbor when he experienced some sort of health issue and may have become disoriented. The woman then walked to a nearby road where she alerted a good Samaritan. Search crews located the man and determined he needed medical attention. They used tethers and ropes to get him to safety.
