Horse killed in crash on US 50 in Dayton

DAYTON, Nev. (KOLO) - The Nevada Highway Patrol says a driver who hit and killed a wild horse Friday morning displayed no signs of impairment.

NHP says the driver of a Chevy Tahoe hit the horse about 4:22AM February 2, 2018 at US 50 and Bryce Street in Dayton. No one in the SUV was seriously hurt; the horse was dead by the time troopers arrived.

The crash is still under investigation.

This is the latest in a string of crashes involving horses killed in traffic in that area.
