Crews stop four Douglas County wildfires

GARDNERVILLE, Nev. (KOLO)-- U.S. 395 is open in Carson Valley as forward progress on four brush fires has stopped, East Fork Fire Protection District Capt. Terry Taylor said.

No homes were damaged and there were no evacuations, Taylor said.

The fires were along the northbound lanes of U.S. 395 from north of Stephanie Way to north of the Silver City RV Park.

The first fire was reported about 5:10 p.m. September 28, 2017. The cause is unknown, Taylor said.

Crews from East Fork Fire Protection District and Carson City Fire Department battled the fires.
