Ramsey Weeks cutoff back open after flood closure

SILVER SPRINGS, Nev. (KOLO) - The Lyon County Road Department has reopened the Ramsey Weeks Cutoff between Highway 50 and US 95A in Silver Springs after closing it to clean mud and debris from a flash flood Monday afternoon.

Lyon County officials have also requested Lyon County Dispatch to conduct a Code Red (reverse 9-1-1) notification to residents in east Mason Valley to advise of a strong possibility of flash flooding coming from the Wassuk Mountain Range later Monday.
