The northbound lanes of South Virginia Street were closed well into Saturday night at South Meadows Parkway as fire crews made sure the fire was out at Friendly Auto Network in the 9600 block of South Virginia Street, said Reno Fire Department Division Chief of Operations Steve Leighton.

The fire was reported shortly before 6 p.m. December 23, 2017.

Several other buildings were threatened by flames but the fire did not spread, Leighton said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, Leighton said. There were no injuries.
