RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The Fallon Greenwave defeated Lowry 60-45 at Lawlor Events Center Saturday to win their second consecutive 3A state title.
Junior Leta Otuafi led Fallon with 30 points.
"I feel like we've worked hard for this and it's like a dream come true. All of our hard work paid off, so I'm just glad our team could experience this because every practice, every day, we're just, like, we need to work hard because we know where we want to get to and we got here and we won, so that's what we wanted to do," Otuafi told KOLO 8 Sports following the win.
"That was a tough game. It's very satisfying, they deserve it, they work hard year round," said Fallon coach Anne Smith.
