STATELINE, Nev. (KOLO) - Update 11/27/17:
The person of interest wanted in connection with a death at the Hard Rock Casino in Stateline has been arrested in Sparks.
Jose DeJesus Rodriguez-Quezada was contacted by the University of Nevada Reno Police Department after being reported as a suspicious person who was sleeping on a sidewalk near the UNR Agricultural Ranch area on East McCarran Boulevard. UNR Police determined Rodriguez-Quezada, a previously deported ex-felon, was in possession of a concealed weapon.
He was arrested on local charges of Ex-Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Carrying a Concealed Weapon without a Permit and Obstructing a Public Officer. He was also arrested on an outstanding warrant from the State of Washington and a hold from Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed on him.
The investigation of the killing of Kevin Edwards October 3, 2017 is still ongoing.
Original story: The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man identified as a person of interest in the killing of a man at the Hard Rock Hotel at Lake Tahoe.
Detectives say their information indicates 44-year-old Jose Rodriguez DeJesus Quezada has recently been traveling the northern Nevada area, specifically the Reno/Carson/Tahoe/Lyon County area. Quezada is known to frequent areas surrounding homeless shelters, truck stops and similar type areas, and is known to associate with the transgender community.
Detectives say Quezada should be considered armed and dangerous.

The investigation is into the death of 56-year-old Kevin Edwards, found dead after detectives responded to reports of a death October 3, 2017 at the Hard Rock Hotel in Stateline. Edwards had been living in Reno, but his driver's license listed Dublin, California.
No information has been released about a cause of death, but detectives are calling it a homicide.
Detectives have found the victim’s 2001 silver BMW 4-door sedan, which was missing after the body was found.
