Dirty air in Truckee Meadows coming from dust, not fires

This Alert Tahoe camera from Peavine Peak shows the dirty air in the Reno area.

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - People are noticing the dirty air, particularly north of Reno.

The National Weather Service reports it is dust being blown in from the Smoke Creek and Black Rock Desert areas.

The cold front moving through is coming in from the northeast and it is crossing deserts to get here.

The dirty air is not from smoke.
