Man charged with arson after Lemmon Valley house fire

LEMMON VALLEY, Nev. (KOLO) - The resident of a home that burned Thursday morning on Palace Drive in Lemmon Valley has been arrested on suspicion of arson.

The fire was reported just before 5:30 a.m. December 28, 2017. When crews arrived they say the house was 70 percent involved in flames, and the house is destroyed.

Stephen Lawler, 38, was originally arrested for resisting a peace officer. The arson charge was added after an investigation by the Washoe County Sheriff's Office and the Nevada State Fire Marshal.

No injuries have been reported.
