Carson Sheriff's Office arrests driver for Jeep hit-and-run

CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO) - Carson City Sheriff's investigators have arrested a woman after releasing surveillance photos of a Jeep used in a hit-and-run in November.

Detectives say about 7AM November 14, 2016, a female driving a Jeep got into an argument with a group of males at the gas pumps at the 7-11 at 3701 North Carson Street. She then used the Jeep to intentionally ram a vehicle with one of the males in it, then sped from the parking lot eastbound onto College Parkway.

Based on tips from the public, Carson City Sheriff’s investigators found the Jeep and identified 33-year-old Traci Morrison of Reno as the suspect. The got an arrest warrant for battery with a deadly weapon and arrested her January 10, 2017 at Reno Justice Court while she was there on an unrelated matter.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is thanking the public for information that led to the identification and arrest of Morrison.
