MINDEN, Nev. (KOLO)-- Two people were knocked down Saturday afternoon when a driver backed into a Minden thrift store, but no one was seriously injured, East Fork Fire Protection District spokesman Terry Taylor said.

Paramedics examined the people at the scene and they did not need to be hospitalized, Taylor said.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office took the driver home after the accident about 2 p.m. at the FISH store at 1561 U.S. 395.

The driver had been in the store, and when he went outside and got into the vehicle, he said he had some sort of problem with his leg and that’s what caused him to back into the store, Taylor said.

No one answered the telephone at the store to say how the store is affected.
