The Peavine Fire burned in medium brush on U.S. Forest Service land above Red Metal Mine south of the Cold Springs area.

Crews that include three brush engines from the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and battalion chiefs from TMFPD and the U.S. Forest Service fought the fire.
