RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Conscious Container in collaboration with Great Basin Brewing Company announces Beers 4 Bottles, a new monthly fundraising event to inform and engage northern Nevadans in their refillable beer bottle pilot.

January’s non-profit partner is Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful.

Anyone interested in learning more about this new reuse initiative OR just wants to come have fun is invited Thursday, January 25 5-9pm
at Great Basin Brewery Taps & Tanks at 1155 S Rock Blvd #490 in Reno.

This innovative event has a suggested KTMB donation and includes music, raffles and food for purchase along with a fun, brief overview of the new reuse program and KTMB’s programs. Attendees who show up with a 24-bottle case of empty 12-ounce brown long neck craft beer bottles will receive a FREE pint of Great Basin Brewing beers on tap that night. Great Basin will also be hosting a special dock sale for beer.

Conscious Container founder Caren McNamara and Great Basin Brewing Company owner Tom Young felt hosting these fundraiser events will engage and incentivize our local beer-drinking community to save their craft beer bottles to be cleaned and refilled while raising funds for local non-profits benefiting our community.

“This inaugural fundraiser focuses on environment by partnering with local non-profit, KTMB, who are dedicated to creating a cleaner, more beautiful region through education and active community involvement,” states McNamara. “This will be a fun and informative event for everyone!”

“Key to this collection pilot is our partnership with Great Basin Brewery, and owner Tom Young,” said McNamara. “Great Basin has always been a local leader in supporting and fostering opportunities for local Nevadans to participate in making a positive difference one pint at a time, and this time it’s about craft beer bottle reuse.”
