Arrest warrant issued for suspect in Traner Pool vandalism

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Reno Police say a warrant has been issued for a suspect in a case of extreme vandalism at Traner Pool.

March 16, 2017, police responded to the pool at 1600 Carville Drive in north Reno on the report of a destruction of property that had caused thousands of dollars in damage.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives reviewed security surveillance and received numerous tips that identified the primary suspect as 40-year-old Gonzolo Escobar.

The case was submitted to the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office, which has issued a warrant for Escobar’s arrest for Burglary and Felony Destruction of Property. Police say Escobar knows he is wanted by Reno Police and is believed to still be in Northern Nevada.
