RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Many brides were left scrambling after learning the bridal shop Alfred Angelo is closing its doors nationwide.

A manager at the Reno location on Kietzke Lane told KOLO 8 News Now she was informed at 8 a.m. Thursday, July 13, that the company was filing bankruptcy and she was to close her doors.

The manager, who didn't want to be identified, said she is doing her best to get dresses to brides and bridesmaids whose dresses are in the store. If a bride's dress is not in the store, they need to send an email to predmond@stearnsweaver.com.

The company released the following statement on its website:

"Alfred Angelo filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on July 14, 2017. As a result, all Alfred Angelo stores, corporate offices and Alfred Angelo wholesalers are closed. Margaret Smith is the duly appointed Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee. If you wish to be contacted regarding your order status once information is available please send an email to: alfredangelo@mjstrustee.com. We will post additional information regarding the status of dresses on this website as it becomes available.

We apologize for the inconvenience and hardship resulting from this event. We appreciate your patience. Thank you."
