Aces' Walker chosen for Triple-A HR Derby

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) Reno Aces first baseman Christian Walker has been selected for the Triple-A Home Run Derby. He's the fifth player in franchise history to be chosen for the contest.

Walker's 20 home runs rank second in the Pacific Coast League. He'll also play in the All-Star game as the PCL's designated hitter.

He's batting .296 with a league-high 84 RBI.

Walker will join the PCL's Renato Nuñez (Nashville) and Daniel Vogelbach (Tacoma) in the Derby. Bryce Brentz (Pawtucket), Danny Hayes (Charlotte) and Richie Shaffer (Columbus) will also complete from the International League.

The Home Run Derby will begin at 7:05pm on Monday, July 10th in Tacoma, Washington. It will be streamed live on MiLB TV.
