South Lake Tahoe Police ask for help finding missing man

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (KOLO) - The South Lake Tahoe Police Department is asking the public’s help finding a man reported missing.

Police say 35-year-old Alexander Mackenzie was last reported seen leaving his parents’ house in Salinas, California. He told his parents he was going to South Lake Tahoe to study, but while there, he emptied his bank account and turned in his rental car, and was believed to be living in “the woods” at an unknown location.

Mackenzie was reported missing after not having contact with his parents. Police say he is not wanted for any crimes and is not believed to be in any specific danger.

Mackenzie is 5’9” and about 190 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair.
