RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The Pyramid/McCarran Intersection Improvement Project is getting closer to being done, but completion is weather-dependent. Paving that was scheduled to begin on Monday, October 2 has been rescheduled to begin on Wednesday, October 4 because temperatures were not warm enough for paving operations.
To help finish off the project, construction crews will be working on open-grade paving at and around this intersection from Wednesday, October 4 through Friday, October 6, and again from Tuesday, October 10 through Wednesday, October 11.
Detours will be provided, but drivers are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes. Drivers can expect up to 30-minute delays in this area while crews are paving.
A paving schedule is provided below, but the schedule is subject to change depending on construction operations and weather. For the most up-to-date information, drivers are encouraged to sign up for text alerts. Text “PMIIP” to 797979 for updates, or visit PyramidMcCarran.com
