GARDNERVILLE, Nev. (KOLO) - Two people allegedly found huffing in a car are in custody, and one has been placed on an ICE hold.
April 3, 2017, Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies were notified of two people acting suspicious in a vehicle in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart Store in Gardnerville. Deputies report finding 18-year-old Jesus Fausto of Carson City and a 17-year-old girl who had inhaled from a can of compressed air, also known as “huffing”. Deputies say both showed signs of being under the influence of an inhalant.
Fausto was on probation and being supervised by Alternative Sentencing in Carson City. He was charged with Unlawful Use of an Inhalant, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Disorderly Conduct and Obstruction. He also has an Immigration and Customs Enforcement Hold.
The girl was taken to Douglas County Juvenile Detention Facility.
