RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The Reno Sportsdome will be opening what it says will be a state-of-the-art 120,000-square-foot indoor sports complex in south Reno. It is scheduled to open in 2018.
This will be Reno Sportsdome’s second location.
The multi-sport facility will contain large indoor turf fields that will cater to soccer, lacrosse, softball, baseball, and flag football, among other sports. It will also house another 40,000 square feet of courts for basketball, volleyball, futsal, and more court-based sports.
Reno Sportsdome officials say they expect this new facility to bring together local youth and adult sports participants and fans, as well as attract national tournaments.
The facility will be off South Meadows Pkwy between Interstate 580 and the new Southeast Connector.
The Reno Sportsdome opened its first location in 2012, with 35,000 square feet at 2400 Tampa Street. It will continue its operation when the new facility opens.
