RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - It is kitten season, which means rescue shelters are overflowing with kittens. The SPCA of Northern Nevada is at capacity with these little felines.
There are ways to help. You can adopt a kitten, or become a foster care volunteer. Foster care volunteers open up their homes for a few weeks or months to care for puppies and kittens, until they can be adopted.
When the shelter is at capacity with kittens during kitten season, foster care volunteers help out by being able to take in kittens when the shelter has no space.
