RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - More than a dozen local Allstate agency owners, financial specialists and licensed sales professionals have come together to secure three Allstate Foundation Helping Hands grants to benefit three local non-profits.
• STEP2, which provides comprehensive residential and outpatient treatment programs to women struggling to overcome substance abuse disorders, poverty and family violence, received a $22,000 grant.
• Project 150, which supports homeless high school students so they have what they need to continue school and be successful in life, received a $18,000 grant.
• Senior Service Network, which provides a quality life to seniors by networking, sharing expertise and staying current on issues important to the senior community, received a $21,000 grant.
Sparks-area Allstate professionals each earned $1,000 for these local nonprofits by volunteering their time to support the mission of these organizations.
