SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) - Support a great cause by taking part in the City of Sparks Mayor’s Cup Golf Tournament at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, 2017 at Red Hawk Golf and Resort. Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Sparks Youth Scholarship Fund, which has helped hundreds of children and teens from low-income households participate in recreation programs at little or no cost to them.
Now in its 15th year, the Mayor’s Cup will feature a shotgun start and a four-person scramble format. There will be hole-in-one prizes and contests for closest to the hole and longest drive. An awards luncheon sponsored by Hometown Health and Renown Health will follow play.
The entry fee is $100 per player or $400 for a team. Golf hole sponsorships with signage are available for $100 each. Download the entry form online or pick up a copy at any City of Sparks recreation facility, as well as at Sparks City Hall, 431 Prater Way.
