RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Join Reno-area zookeepers for a great night and day of fun at the National Bowling Stadium.

Zookeepers throughout the U.S. and Canada invite you to bowl, have fun, and raise much-needed funds for the conservation of endangered rhinos and the ecosystems they inhabit. Rhinos have lived on Earth for more than 50 million years, but may not survive the next 50. Rhinos are poached for their horns and poaching is being conducted by sophisticated international criminal syndicates that smuggle horns to Asia.

100% of proceeds go to conservation of rhinos and cheetahs.

The opening night gala (adults 21+) is Saturday, October 28 7:00 – 11:00 PM. Family and Team Bowling is Sunday 11AM – 7PM.

Tickets include the cost of bowling equipment. Gala price is $38 in advance or $50 at the door. Sunday bowling is $12 per hour per person; or $40 per team of 4.

Since 1990, AAZK has raised more than $6 million through Bowling for Rhinos. All the proceeds go to supporting three rhino sanctuaries in Indonesia, Sumatra and Kenya, while also raising community participation with Action for Cheetahs in Kenya. Please click here for more information about the individual conservation organizations that benefit from Bowling for Rhinos.

You can support Bowling for Rhinos in several ways:

 Donate an item for the auctions

There will be free parking in the structure via 4th St.
