Pembroke Drive will be closing to all traffic beginning June 12th. The closure will be between the golf course club house and the creek. The closure is needed in order to reconstruct the intersection. The closure will last about two months and was timed to happen when nearby schools are not in session. Mira Loma Drive is available as an alternate route.

When completed, this intersection will actually become about seven feet higher than it is today so that the SouthEast Connector will be passable during a major flood event such as the region experienced in 1997. The SouthEast Connector will provide a new escape route preventing this part of the community from being cut-off and isolated. The RTC will create gradual slopes so traffic on Pembroke will meet the new higher intersection. Ultimately, there will also be a traffic signal at this location.
